Delta did everything except try to get me to Milan on time, so the journey was a bit nerve wracking. However, I am safe and sound and that is now the important thing.

I got to see a sunset and sunrise on the same flight. I guess that kinda made up for everything...

Yes, I am resorting back to archaic means of communication, that is, strictly my blackberry- or for now my pay as you go mobile device, oh and emails. Can't push it too far now, I mean, who really has a land line these days anyway? And letters just take too long and Ive ran out of my rose perfume to scent them with anyway.

Facebook started to become my methodical raise of the hand in calculus. Ill sweat, hoping not to be chosen as all I wanted was the 10% participation points. Maybe I've got it wrong, but all I know is what I see in front of me. But, does A2 + B2 always equal C2? Hold on, thats algebra.. hmm.. Is the square root of 64 always 8? I think so actually. Anyway, its just a mathematical formula. Log on, click this, browse, incessantly I might ad, log off. Formula. Calculus. Me, sweating. The only thing I want to tag is a brick wall, and if I actually had any talent I would do so. For now, I will move on to blogging. Its old school, didn't ya hear?

Holiday joy

The least surprising news- To book a flight equals booking a job. I was casted in the new Clean and Clear campaign, which means print and a commercial spot. I had to change my flight (which now will be unchangeable to the agency) for the end of January. It seems as though it'll be a better time in Australia then anyway (Spencer's looking forward to the March swell).

I am now up on my new agency sites: Chic Management in Sydney. D Management in Milan. Especially stoked for D Management... check out the roster. :)

Blizzard, cancelled flight, re booked flight, train - plane- and in a few hours my mama arrives! Can't wait for Christmas!

There are some days that you realize trusting in yourself is one of the most powerful weapons. All we know at the end of the day are our own intentions, which I would hope to be genuine. Your heart will, at the very least, lead you to miraculous discoveries. Perhaps not the most fruitful things, but smiles at the very least. Someone beautifully wise once told me "not every day can be a good one". I guess most of today was just one of those that we hope to learn from.

Journey

Narcissistic? Hope not.

Inspirational? Hope so.

100% Real? pshh heck yeah.

Some people dream to grow up and work for the UN (yes, I have smart friends). Some to be lawyers, or just dream to live life to its fullest. I dreamed to use my face and body to express an emotion with one, single, pop of the shutter.

Most of you are near and dear friends, or family and know my entire life story (as I have a tendency to never leave my mouth closed for too long). For the rest of you;

I can remember being 4 years old and having my journalist/photographer mother take my picture for the newspaper. In that moment I knew what I wanted to do for the rest of my life. Though, I thought I'd be famous by the time I was 16...I'm at least still on the journey toward that dream.

Just before my 19th birthday, I packed my suitcase and drove to NYC. I met a girl and a day later I was sleeping on her floor. Two months later, I signed with my first agency and moved into the financial district of Manhattan. One bedroom, three sets of Ikea bunk beds, 8 models, and thousands of dollars in debt later- I moved to New Jersey. Eight months of commuting, hours wasted sitting on the floor at Penn Station- I moved to Brooklyn. One year of modeling under my belt and I got the travel bug! I told my agent that I wanted to try a new market, eight days later I was flying to Seoul Korea. I didn't speak Korean, mostly they didn't speak English. Each day I usually shot for 11 - 14 hours. I worked the first 20 consecutive days after my arrival. My face was sore, my body impossibly tired, and my portfolio - built. After two and a half months, I boarded a plane to Tokyo. The first day every inch, sorry, centimeter, of my body was measured. My wrist, neck, shoulders, fingers...everything. After too much hounding to lose inches off my "womanly hips" I asked to be flown back to NYC. I was exhausted emotionally and took a few months off from the unforgiving world of fashion. After sumer escaped me, I jumped on another plane and headed to London. Parks visited, pints drank, rugby watched, football scores, and a dear friend made- two months later I was back to NY. Signed with a new agency after the new year (2008), eight months later I drove across the country to Los Angeles, CA. Many jobs obtained and courage gained, I am once again heading over seas. This time I am going to document the journey. I want everyone to be a part of it. Follow me :o) May my travels inspire you to risk it all, in search of the dream you always had!
